Any ideas or viewpoints for our PM?

Our out-going PM is inviting the people to send in their ideas or views via a new online portal specially launched for gathering opinions from the public. It’s too much too late since he is leaving the No 1 office by end of next month.

The billboard calling for the ideas can be seen at Jalan Syed Putra.

However some people have different views whether our PM is really leaving the No 1 post or make an about turn.

Which is the most viable budget?

On 28 August 2008 our PM tabled the Malaysian 2009 Budget in Parlimen. Many are pleased and happy with the budget. You may have read a lot of praising comments but not many critical analysis has been put forward.

Anyway if you do some searching around Malaysian blogsphere you will get a lot of criticism on the tabled budget. Today Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has proposed a budget proposal that will be implemented if Pakatan Rakyat take over the government.

I’ve read PR budget proposal and it make more sense in rebuilding the nation and gives more hope to the masses if compared to the government budget.

The people choice is clear – we want change

Thank you to all Permatang Pauh voters for voting a new dawn in Malaysian history. Your votes spoke on behalf of the Malaysian majority;

We want a change in our country directions – we are losing our competitiveness to Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, etc. The inflation hit the highest point in 28 years! What a waste to our unemployed undergraduates.

We want Malaysia to be a better place to live for our family and future generations – when can the house break in, robberies, snatch thefts and other crimes statistic be reduced or better still to put them to a stop.

We want our children of all races to live together without harboring a racist mindset - No more racial divide. I just long the time during my earlier schooldays when we played and enjoy the school together.

… the list is endless, but we want the first three to be fulfilled first.

Doubtful about the “swearing on Quran” issue?

Are you lost about the swearing on Quran? Most learned Ulama’ said that the swearing was unnecessary and some claimed that it was valid. For me, I had read most of the ‘dalils’ put forward by the pious Ulama’ and I had my own stand on this issue. Today the audio below confirmed that my stand is correct. Alhamdulillah.

Hopefully it also augurs well with your stand.

The Countdown Begins!

The countdown to 26 August 2008, the day for Permatang Pauh Parlimentary (P44) by-election begins today. Four candidates from BN, PKR, AKIM and one independent party filed their nominations today. The independent candidate who was acting as a PKR backup candidate later pulled out and it will be a three-way fight.

Whether PKR defacto leader DS Anwar Ibrahim will win with a big landslide or a smaller majority compared to DS Wan Azizah when she retained the seat in March 8 is something for all Malaysians to mulls and speculate.

Ten days to the polling day will be full of promises and pledges from the candidates when they rally Permatang Pauh voters.
