Another landslide in Ampang. This is not the first time that landslide had occured in this vicinity. After the Highland Tower incident in 1993, one after another landslide mishaps keep happening within this area.

1. December 1993 – Highland Tower
2. May 1999 – Athenaeun Tower
3. October 2000 – Bukit Antarabangsa
4. November 2002 – Taman Hillview
5. May 2006 – Kampung Pasir

and early this morning another landslide tragedy happened which already claimed four lives.

MPAJ should hear to the plights of residents and NGOs concerning the approval of housing development at the hill area. Complaints and grouses were swept under the carpet and new housing projects were approved without considering the enviromental factors. When incident like this happened then the relevant authorities start pointing fingures.

But two thumbs up for the immediate ban on hill slope development issued by the government today. At last the government learn something after many innocent lives has perished.
